Honey Lavender Latte

10 min medium 1 cup

A new flavor combination that's been quietly taking over specialty coffee shops — floral lavender, sweet honey, and rich espresso. It sounds unusual, but the lavender's gentle floral notes complement the coffee's natural sweetness beautifully. This is the kind of drink that makes coffee culture fun.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 1 oz honey (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender flowers (or 1 oz lavender syrup)
  • 8 oz steamed milk
  • Pinch of dried lavender for garnish
  • Small saucepan (if using dried lavender)

Step by Step

  1. 1

If using dried lavender: gently heat 2 oz of milk with the lavender in a small saucepan over low heat for 3–4 minutes, then strain. This creates a lavender-infused milk.

  2. 2

If using lavender syrup: simply add the syrup to the mug with the honey.

  3. 3

Add the honey to your mug.

  4. 4

Pull two shots of espresso over the honey and stir until the honey is fully dissolved.

  5. 5

Steam the milk (or your lavender-infused milk) to 150°F with a light microfoam.

  6. 6

Pour the steamed milk over the honey-espresso mixture.

  7. 7

Garnish with a tiny pinch of dried lavender flowers on the foam.

  8. 8

Take a moment to appreciate the aroma before your first sip.
