Caffè Mocha

10 min medium 1 cup

A latte's sweeter, more indulgent cousin — the mocha adds chocolate to the espresso and steamed milk combo, then tops it with whipped cream. Named after the Yemeni port of Mocha, which historically traded coffee with chocolate-like notes. It's a dessert and a coffee in one.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso
  • 1 oz chocolate syrup (or 1 tbsp cocoa powder + 1 tsp sugar)
  • 6 oz steamed milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
